You can redeem your Shop Cash at checkout when you place an order in the Shop app or Shop on the web.
To redeem Shop Cash on an order in Shop, your order needs to meet the following criteria:
- The Shop store that you're purchasing from is located in the United States or Canada, sells in USD or CAD, and accepts Shop Pay as a payment method.
- You're paying in USD or CAD at checkout.
- You've selected a shipping method, and the order isn't for local pickup.
- The purchase doesn't include any gift cards, subscription products, or digital products.
- If you haven't made any purchases using Shop Pay in the past, then to redeem Shop Cash on your first order, the order total must be $10 or more, not including taxes or shipping charges.
After you successfully redeem your Shop Cash on an order, Shop Cash displays as a payment method on the order receipt in the Shop app. You can't redeem Shop Cash after an order has been placed.
To review the Shop Cash that you've redeemed in the Shop app, tap your Shop Cash balance in the top right corner of the app, and then tap the clock icon to view your Shop Cash activity.
Refunds on orders that were paid for using Shop Cash
If you fully return an order paid for with Shop Cash, then you're refunded in the way the order was paid. Expired Shop Cash is not credited back to your balance after a refund is issued.
For partial returns, the amount of Shop Cash that you receive back depends on the store's refund process. The store that you purchased from determines the amount that's refunded to the Shop Pay payment method, and how much is credited back to your Shop Cash balance.
If you take advantage of a Shop Cash offer and later request a refund, then you won't receive the multiplied amount of Shop Cash credited back to your balance. You're only entitled to the amount of Shop Cash that was applied to the offer.
