Manage your data and privacy settings

Shop uses your data and cookies to create a faster, more personalized shopping experience. You can adjust your data and privacy settings at any time. To learn how Shop stores your information and when it's shared with a store, refer to Using Shop Pay and Shopping with confidence on Shop.

You can manage the following settings on the Shop website:

• Data sharing: Shop uses your personal information to show you more relevant suggestions and ads. If you don't want to share your personal information for targeted ads, then you can opt out.
• Necessary cookies: Required for the basic features of the Shop website, such as providing secure log-in or adjusting consent preferences. This setting is marked Required and can't be turned off.
• Analytics cookies: Used to measure performance and visitor engagement and improve the performance of Shopify services. You can turn this setting on or off.
• Advertising cookies: Used by Shopify and its partners to show you ads that match your interests and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. You can turn this setting on or off. Learn more about ads personalization on Shop.

You can also opt out of sharing your personal data for targeted ads without signing in by submitting your email address or phone number through the Shopify targeted advertising opt-out form. This opt-out applies only to the email address or phone number that you provide. You might still view ads from Shopify, but they won't be tailored to your activity.

Steps:

1. On a web browser, sign in to Shop.

2. Click the Account icon, and then click Data & privacy.

3. To opt out of data sharing, click Your Privacy Choices.

4. To update your cookie preferences, turn Analytics cookies and Advertising cookies on or off.
