To change your Shop Pay phone number, you need to sign in to Shop on a web browser, and then verify your account.
Considerations for changing your Shop Pay phone number
- You can only use a mobile phone number with Shop.
- You can only change your phone number one time within 24 hours.
- If you can't verify your Shop account using your existing phone number, then you can verify by email. However, to ensure that your payment details are protected, this option removes all of your payment information from your Shop account.
- If you change your Shop Pay phone number, then you also need to update your phone number with Affirm before you can pay for another purchase using Shop Pay Installments.
Change your Shop Pay phone number
- Sign in to Shop on a web browser.

If you're not already signed in, then complete the following steps:
- Enter your email, and then click Continue.

In the Confirm it's you section, complete either of the following options:
- Enter the 6-digit security code sent to your phone number.
- Click Send a code by email, and then enter the 6-digit security code sent to your email.
- After you're signed in to Shop, in the Login & security section, click Change next to your existing phone number.

In the Confirm it's you section, do either of the following:
- To confirm using your existing mobile number, click Send code, and then enter the 6-digit security code sent to your phone number.
- If you don't have access to your existing mobile number, then click I don't have access to this phone number. In the Change phone number dialog, check I understand that changing this number will delete my payment information.
- Enter the new phone number that you want to use, and then click Continue.
- In the Confirm it's you section, enter the 6-digit security code that you receive to your new phone number.
After you change your Shop Pay phone number, you're automatically logged out from all of your devices using Shop Pay.
