Accepted cards that you can use with Shop Pay
To use Shop Pay, you need to have a supported payment card that the online store that you're purchasing from supports. You can usually find the list of supported payment methods on the payment screen at checkout.
In addition to credit and debit cards, Shop Pay supports the following local payment methods when they're available from the store and processed by Shopify Payments:
Which payment methods you can use depends on your location and the store's settings. You can't use local payment methods to pay for subscriptions.
If you're having trouble using Shop Pay with your card, then you can troubleshoot by confirming the following information:
- If applicable, make sure that you've activated your card before using it.
- Check that your billing information matches your bank information on file. For example, the zip code needs to match the billing address.
- Make sure that you're using a supported debit or credit card. For example, some prepaid cards aren't supported.
- Payment cards issued in India aren't supported by Shop Pay.
- If you're using Shop Pay Installments, then make sure you're not using a Capital One card, Chase credit card, or prepaid debit card.
