Set up a Shop passkey

You can sign in to your Shop account using passkeys as an alternative to SMS or email verification. Passkeys let you use face or fingerprint recognition, or a PIN to quickly and securely sign in to Shop.

To set up a passkey, your Shop account needs a verified email address and a verified phone number. You can set up a passkey in the Shop app, as well as on a web browser on https://shop.com.

Create a passkey for Shop in the Shop app

You can create a passkey for Shop in the Shop app.

Steps:

1. From the Shop app in the tab, tap the Account icon, which is your profile picture or initials.

2. Tap Sign in & security.

3. In the Passkeys section, tap Add. If you don't have a passkey, then tap Add passkey instead.

4. Follow the prompts on your device to verify your identity and create your passkey.

You can view your new passkey in the Passkeys section.

Create a passkey for Shop using a web browser

You can create a passkey for Shop using a web browser.

Steps:

1. In a web browser, go to https://shop.com/, and then click Sign in.
2. Follow the prompts to sign in to your Shop account.
3. Click the Account icon, and then click Sign in & security.
4. In the Passkeys section, click Add. If you don't have a passkey, then click Add passkey instead.
5. Follow the prompts in your browser to verify your identity and create your passkey.

You can view your new passkey in the Passkeys section.
